Floating Home of the Future

Inside on the 20 square meter main floor you will find a spacious living room and a lovely kitchen, while on the submerged 10 square meter level the bedroom and the bathroom with a million-dollar view eagerly await.

On a deck there is a lush vegetable garden, measuring 12.5 meters in diameter.

Currently, the company is still raising funds to build a prototype based on their concept. It is estimated that when and if Unidentified Floating Object becomes a production model, we’re looking at a $200,000 starting purchase price.

Daytona International Speedway Hosting Ferrari World Finals

Daytona International Speedway has added a prestigious new event to its 2016 calendar – the Ferrari World Finals on Dec. 1-4 – which is being held in North America for the first time in history.

The Ferrari World Finals will bring together all competitors from the European, North American and Asia Pacific series of the Ferrari Challenge for a battle for the World Championship in their Ferrari 458 Challenge EVOs on Daytona’s 3.56-mile road course.

Ferrari World Finals – Daytona Beach

Other highlights of the weekend are the display and running of historic Formula 1 cars, Ferrari’s exclusive XX Program and, to cap the weekend, Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 show. The show traditionally features the current Formula 1 drivers (in 2015 Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel) in demonstrations of pit stops, thrilling accelerations and fast laps.

The four-day event will also include an open test day on Nov. 30. The Ferrari World Finals have been traditionally held in Italy as well as Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

Ferrari World Finals – Abu Dhabi

“We are grateful and honored to serve as the host facility for the 2016 Ferrari World Finals,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said. “Ferrari brings to the ‘World Center of Racing’ both powerful racing machines and an incredible brand. We’re looking forward to the excitement that will be showcased on the twists and turns of Daytona’s legendary road course.”

“We are delighted and proud to announce that the 2016 Finali Mondiali (World Finals) will be held at the Daytona International Speedway,” Antonello Coletta, head of Attivita’ Sporting GT and Corse Clienti at Ferrari. “A relationship of close cooperation has been established between Ferrari and this historic racetrack over many years, so much so that the North America Series of the Ferrari Challenge counts the Daytona race, organized to coincide with the legendary 24 Hours, among its most important events. The World Finals, to be held in December at the Daytona International Speedway is a further development of this already established relationship.”

Ferrari has a storied history at Daytona International Speedway in the Rolex 24. The manufacturer owns five overall Rolex 24 At Daytona victories including a 1-2-3 finish in the 1967 event.

Tickets and more information on the Ferrari World Finals will be released in the coming months.

How Much Does It Cost to Charter A Private Jet?

A Guide to Private Jet Charter pricing

How Much Does It Cost to Charter A Private Jet?

Private jet charter rates are not for everyone. Private jet rental is expensive! The private plane industry revolves around corporations, athletes, celebrities, government and affluent families. Let’s be honest anyone looking to rent a private plane has to be making at least a million a year to be able to afford doing it on a regular basis.

The big question for most people is, How much does it cost to charter a private jet?

Aircraft act like commodities so private jet pricing does fluctuate, the higher the demand the higher the cost for private plane rental. Then there is private plane positioning. The aircraft best positioned for a mission typically wins. Furthermore, a large percentage of private jets owners still require minimums for non flight days.

In addition, other private jet charter costs are taxes, fees, and fuel. Let’s break it down for you. Here is average private plane charter pricing per category. This is all inclusive private air charter hourly pricing.

How Much Does It Cost to Charter A Private Jet Hourly – Floating

Turbo Prop: $2200 Light Jet: $5500 Mid Jet: $6500 Super Mid: $8500 Heavy Jet: $11,500

If you multiply these numbers by the flight time of your private jet trip, then you will have a good idea of the actual cost to charter a private plane. Light jets and midsize jets have a two hourly daily minimum, and super mid and heavy jets have a three hour daily minimum. So for example, a two hour trip on a turbo prop will cost you $4400 dollars ballpark. This is a private jet pricing model used by many floating fleets.

Let’s talk about local vendors and transient aircraft. These aircraft typically use a different pricing model. The aircraft will not float and will typically come back to their home base. This model differs from the floating model greatly when it comes to private jet price. Again all turbo props, light jets, and mids have two hour daily minimums and super mids and heavy jets have a three hour daily minimum.

What is a daily minimum?

Minimums are charged when the aircraft is not flying. There actually is a formula for this; Total flight time minus 2hrs per day will equal the trip minimums.

How Much Does It Cost to Charter A Private Jet Hourly – Non Floating

  • Turbo Prop: $1850
  • Light Jet: $3200
  • Mid Jet: $4800
  • Super Mid: $5400
  • Heavy Jet: $9500

So for example, if you are taking a trip from West Palm Beach to Aspen for five days the total private jet flight time is about ten hours. The aircraft will not fly for three days so that makes six hours. Ten minus six is four hours. So we add the 10 hrs of flight time plus the 4 hour minimums for a total of fourteen hours. On a light jet that is about $44,800 for the round trip.

The aircraft will also incur $1,000 dollars of overnight fees for pilots. In this case they will be there for 4 nights. So your total private jet charter cost to Aspen from Palm Beach will be about $48,800 ballpark. Again, I stress BALLPARK. Every aircraft is priced differently according to age, model, the management company, and the owner of the plane. So quotes can vary plus or minus several thousand dollars.

At West Palm Jet Charter we do a complete market analysis on every private plane flight. We interact with over twenty sources on every private air charter. Our expert private plane charter flight team compares all floating fleet vendors to local vendors. We also search for transient aircraft, and negotiate contracts to get you the safest best positioned aircraft for every mission.

Gulfstream GIV - Heavy Private Jet

The Gulfstream GIV is an ideal midsize, intercontinental-range business jet. Gulfstream’s aircraft have evolved through new technologies and improvements, and the GIV is evidence of this.

With a new design, upgraded engines and additional space, the GIV offers great performance in the intercontinental class of jets; so great that Gulfstream modeled most of their latest jets off of the GIV. It is also offered in a single-pilot modification, the GIV-SP.

Gulfstream GIV Exterior

As the fourth installation in the Gulfstream family line, the Gulfstream GIV offers new advancements that the former aircraft lacked. One of the most significant improvements is the change of engines from the Rolls-Royce Spey to the Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8, used in later private jets including the G300 and 400. The successful intercontinental-range business jet has been a prototype for Gulfstream models.

Two Rolls-Royce Mk 611-8 engines provide 13,850 lbs of thrust each. Inspection interval is 8,000 hours. The Roll-Royce upgraded engine is responsible for 15% improved fuel consumption and decreased noise levels.

Another addition is the six-screen, color EFIS. The Honeywell SPZ-8000 avionics suite is found in the GIV’s cockpit. It includes Collins radios, FMS and dual Honeywell laser inertial reference systems. Triple laser INS, dual FMS and an air-to-ground telephone are options. The GIV is the first in the Gulfstream family to employ Goodyear Aerospace’s brake-by-wire system and a Dowty fail-passive steer-by-wire system, making pilot maneuverability easier. The GIV’s takeoff weight is 2,000 additional pounds than its predecessor, at 72,300 pounds. Hot-and-high performance is also improved. The GIV has a high speed cruise of 552 mph.

Gulfstream GIV Interior

Compared to the GIII, the Gulfstream GIV has gained 4.5 feet in usable interior space but maintains Gulfstream’s famous stand-up cabin. The cabin has a length of 45.1 feet, width of 7.3 feet, and height of 6.1 feet.

Up to 19 passengers can be accommodated in the GIV comfortably.

Amenities include a large galley and full-sized lavatory, including a shower.

Gulfstream GIV Specifications

  • Passenger Capacity: 14-19
  • Airspeed: 552 mph
  • Range: 4212 nm
  • Cabin Width: 7.3 ft
  • Cabin Height: 6.1 ft
  • Cabin Length: 45.1 ft

Fastest Private Jet In The World

Fastest Private Jet – Cessna Citation X

It’s still fairly unclear why the Concorde went the way of the dodo — after all, it hopped between New York and London in half the time of regular airliners, and, as the saying goes, time is money. Also, rich people don’t usually care about money. Well, now there’s a replacement to fill the gap in the market: the brand new Cessna Citation X, the fastest private jet on earth.

Fastest Private Plane

Fastest Private Jet – Cessna Citation X

The Cessna Citation X was certified by the FAA at mach 0.935, or 617 mph, officially making it the world’s fastest private jet. Real talk: That means you could fly from New York to LA in around four hours or less. And you don’t even have to wonder what kind of crappy food the airline’s serving!

Why so fast, you ask?

Well, apparently the exaggerated sweepback of this bird’s wings makes it faster than Speedy Gonzales. Physics nerds know that means delayed drag and increased performance; for the rest of us, it just means this aircraft goes fast. Because it was designed to go really fast. The plane’s powerful, titanium-bladed engines are made by a little company you’ve probably heard of called Rolls-Royce. The luxury sky vessel also uses fully integrated avionics.

The Cessna Citation X has all touchscreen controls for lighting, window shades, temperature, audio and video, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. Hand-finished details come standard in its luxurious cabin, which can be completely customized in a selection of hardwoods, metals and leathers. What are you waiting for? You, eight buddies and a cute flight attendant could be swilling champagne, having a personalized menu, and halfway to Miami right now!
