The Miami area is served by four general aviation airports that serve private and charter flights, small planes and other non-commercial aircraft. The terminal features a shower area, pilot lounge, executive lounge, Internet access and car rental services. The facility is open every day, 24 hours.
Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport (TMB)
The Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, just southeast of Miami, also serves private jets and other small planes with a hangar, refueling and ground services, a terminal with three lounges, Internet access and a sauna and spa room. The airport is open every day from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Homestead General Airport
Homestead General Airport, near the Homestead/Miami Speedway, is the last stop for fuel before the Florida Keys. It features two lighted runways for small planes and private jets, as well as storage hangars.
Opa-Locka Executive Airport (OPF)
Opa-Locka in northeast Miami is a smaller relief airport for Miami International Airport and is used by private jets and Coast Guard aircraft in the Miami area. The airport offers customs and refueling services from nine runways and the control tower is open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Just 3 miles from Miami’s Sun Life Stadium, it is most convenient private airport at which to land before a Dolphins or Marlins game.
